Press Release

LORRAINE NAM: ART SUNDAE

This Art Sundae installation is a collaboration between children and illustrator Lorraine Nam.

On November 12, 2022, Nam led a children’s public art-making workshop inspired by the holiday season and Nam’s current exhibition at Rockefeller Center.

Participants were invited to create imaginative sculptural figures using colorful paper cut-outs, an element that is featured prominently in Nam’s work as an illustrator.

Lorraine Nam is a beloved illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York. Nam’s holiday illustrations can be found in locations throughout the Center, including murals at 10 Rockefeller Plaza, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 50 Rockefeller Plaza, the street and concourse levels of 45 Rockefeller Plaza, Top of the Rock, Radio Park, and the ZO Clubhouse, as well as paper cut-out installations in the lobby of 45 Rockefeller Plaza.

A free Rockefeller Center limited edition holiday map featuring Nam’s illustrations will be available to visitors in Rockefeller Center lobbies.
